  1. I’m so sorry to hear of your medical struggles. Wishing you a speedy recovery. We’d love to see you back on the boards.

Thank you. I posted an update on the forum

  2. Well, I'm not the most gazelle intense person here anyway, so no wet noodles from me. Sounds to me like you are doing the best you can, and hopefully things will only get better from here on out. I'm head go hear from you and to know that you are okay.
  3. I will have to check it out. It's not that far from me.
  4. Good news on the remission.

    Prayers for a friend

I am so sorry. I saw this story this morning and immediately thought of you (although I had no idea it was someone you actually knew). Very, very sad.

I like them. You are very talented.

    Doctors Appointment

    I'm sorry, Mimi.
  8. Condolences on the loss of your friend's mother. I'm glad you could work it out to visit.
  9. You are doing the right thing. I agree that help should be more readily available and affordable.

    I did it

I'm with you on the guilt, and I totally understand it. I had two job offers a day apart last week. One offered a $2000 signing bonus. I applied for neither. Teaching in general is stressful, math teaching even more so. I put in 38 years and really am not interested in going back. I wished both callers well in their search but politely turned them down. Good luck with your new venture. It sounds exciting.

    I'm Back!

You were missed. I'm so glad to see you back. Although I did not suffer depression after my hysterectomy, I did have some major hormonal episodes better forgotten. Good luck with everything.

    need to vent

I am so sorry you are going through this. I totally agree that it is time to find a new doctor. I agree with BigDog that you might need to get through this before making any major decisions regarding jobs.
  13. When I broke my wrist, I had an OT work with me to regain mobility. It was in a private orthopedic clinic. There are two other PT/OT clinics in my town that I know of, and I live in a small town. None of those would involve coming into contact with infectious diseases, and I don't think butt-wiping, but I don't know this for a fact. My DGS, who has fine motor issues due to autism, goes to a private OT once a week. She works with him cutting play doh with scissors and things like that. Both of my experiences sound like the kind of thing that attracted you to the field in the first place. I think you probably just need the break that summer will offer. I wouldn't make any decisions until I had a chance to rest.

Very nice! I, too, hate tee shirt necks. I always feel like I am choking. I prefer fee and scoop necks.
  15. Coming from one who suffered debilitating pain and sometimes sheer embarrassment from consequences of fibroids, a hysterectomy was one of the best things that ever happened to me. If it is meant for you to be a parent, you will be. The important thing to focus on is to get this behind you.
