  1. I think just Roy and he's busy with the house sale. Dorothy was admin too if she pops in.
  2. It's unbelievable right! When the mortgage is gone and those numbers continue to climb you'll be amazed at the progress!
  3. That is great! And honestly once you add a Roth IRA it adds another level of protection although ideally you'll never touch it. Good job staying focused, the faster you get through BS3 the faster you get to a step where your money can work for you so you won't have to someday!

    Aye Corona(virus)

My great grandfather died in the 1918 flu. He was a firefighter in St Louis and my great grandmother was 6 months pregnant with my grandma at the time. They cremated him before she even knew he'd passed. Luckily my grandma was always a fighter. I got that from her.
  5. You are going to be over $100k in investments before you know it!
  6. Oh man, that's great progress!!!
  7. I miss my people too. Although I'm an introvert by nature I do enjoy an occasional social gathering.
  8. I know in our area alot of people are giving away extra milks from the lunches. Check your Facebook free groups for things that might help you guys pull it off this month. Try to remain positive and remember every step forward albeit small is better than taking a step back.
  9. It's starting to wear on me to the point I've greatly considered driving 20+ hours to see my best friends. I'm ready to move on to the next phases. I'm ready for all of this to be in the past. I miss our little life that was actually quite uncomplicated before this started.
  10. Don't think about how long the to do list is. Like DR break it up into baby steps. Maybe do something easy to get moving this morning and take breaks to drink water, chat in the phone with a friend, and play with the kids occasionally. start small. Also taking a walk is helping with my anxiety but I have to go to the grocery store today and am dreading it again.
  11. Do you have anyone you could do skype or messenger calls with? I talked to three people yesterday and a spouse group of 14 ladies.
  12. I feel this. I'd give up my husband's yearly salary to keep him home for the next year. The money means nothing to me right now.
  13. Have you returned???

    Vacation Plans

We went to Disneyland on our first debt free vacation. Kiddos were 3 and 5 and I remember it like it was yesterday! Congratulations!

    Living...

Wow! I can't wait to join you!
  17. Your net worth is going to start to skyrocket!
  18. That's a good chunk of change! We use the interest from the money market to pay bills randomly or HOA at the end of year.
  19. Welcome to LLNOE!

  20. I just wanted to tell you how instrumental you have been in my spouse and I reaching our financial goals.  I truly hope you are able to make a full recovery and able to continue influencing others going forward.

    Life After Divorce

Wow honey just so much going on. I agree with Vanguard recommendation or Fidelity if you can use their lowest cost index funds. You have until mid April to get those funded for 2017. Don't let that timeline slip by. I'm glad to see you didn't slip back into BS2. Time for some progress!!!
  22. I'm so glad I checked the blogs. Who would've thought? That's just so awesome.
  23. To help pick the funds and understand retirement a little better read Bogleheads Guide to Investing. Most people are intelligent enough to do this in their own without paying a fee to an ELP. Vanguard and Fidelity both gave low cost index funds that with for most people. Feel free to pm me with questions! You and your spouse crack me up! :-)
  24. We just had baby girl this morning while the site was down. I call that getting things done!!!

    Divorce & Downsize

Tiny houses are definitely becoming very popular. Sounds like with your equity you might be able to get one of those after a time. I doubt that market will go dowh in the next six months. Use that time to prioritize what you want to keep, purge, store if desired. We watch those shows all the time. I'm glad things are going amicably but it does concern me that you guys still share a banking account.
