  1. So curious to how life is treating you in your new locale! Check in with us sometime. :)

I've been thinking about her, too!

I didn't realize it'd been so long since she checked in. I guess my husband's deployment made things do this weird speed up/slow down thing. The pandemic schooling made everything feel like a time warp. This has been the most bizarre year ever!

  2. We miss you around here. Hope you are both well and able to enjoy some time at the holidays.

I do that from time to time.  So does my daughter ha ha..I worry when people stay away too long like a mother hen. Looking forward to your update!

  3. That's so exciting! Definitely doesn't hurt to build it up as you save for a hint. We all know how expensive that can get!
  4. I think just Roy and he's busy with the house sale. Dorothy was admin too if she pops in.
  5. It's unbelievable right! When the mortgage is gone and those numbers continue to climb you'll be amazed at the progress!
  6. That is great! And honestly once you add a Roth IRA it adds another level of protection although ideally you'll never touch it. Good job staying focused, the faster you get through BS3 the faster you get to a step where your money can work for you so you won't have to someday!
  7. My great grandfather died in the 1918 flu. He was a firefighter in St Louis and my great grandmother was 6 months pregnant with my grandma at the time. They cremated him before she even knew he'd passed. Luckily my grandma was always a fighter. I got that from her.
  8. You are going to be over $100k in investments before you know it!
  9. Oh man, that's great progress!!!
  10. I miss my people too. Although I'm an introvert by nature I do enjoy an occasional social gathering.
  11. I know in our area alot of people are giving away extra milks from the lunches. Check your Facebook free groups for things that might help you guys pull it off this month. Try to remain positive and remember every step forward albeit small is better than taking a step back.
  12. It's starting to wear on me to the point I've greatly considered driving 20+ hours to see my best friends. I'm ready to move on to the next phases. I'm ready for all of this to be in the past. I miss our little life that was actually quite uncomplicated before this started.
  13. Don't think about how long the to do list is. Like DR break it up into baby steps. Maybe do something easy to get moving this morning and take breaks to drink water, chat in the phone with a friend, and play with the kids occasionally. start small. Also taking a walk is helping with my anxiety but I have to go to the grocery store today and am dreading it again.
  14. Do you have anyone you could do skype or messenger calls with? I talked to three people yesterday and a spouse group of 14 ladies.
  15. I feel this. I'd give up my husband's yearly salary to keep him home for the next year. The money means nothing to me right now.
