New diagnosis

I finally made it to the rheumatologist today. She didn't even need to finish the exam to diagnose me with fibromyalgia. It's no surprise, I went there to get diagnosed because the symptoms fit me to a T. Here's hoping adding the Cymbalta in to my regimen will help calm my body pain and let me relax so my bowels can heal!!!

Hope for healing. Your stress levels over the past few years may well have contributed to this. Hopefully things will settle down for you.

Are you taking probiotics?

I'm still looking for a probiotic that suits my system. I took the medicine last night and during the night I got sick one time, but my body needs to adjust to it so I'm not going to give up after one day of course! It does say can cause you to be nauseous so that might be the problem, but I take it at night so by this morning I felt fine. I'm kind of glad they gave me the diagnosis because now I can do something

I mention the probiotics because several friends who have ulcerative colitis told me probiotics have helped them tremendously. Keep looking...

Answers are good. The throwing up the other night was the start of an old fashioned stomach bug. It has hit our school. Oh well, I can handle that! The medicine doesn't seem to be causing any side effects yet.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1996 when my kids were small.  I was relieved to finally know what was wrong, but was very angry and bitter at the same time.  I grieved for the old me and sometimes still do.  Hopefully the medication will help you cope with your new normal.  Hugs.

I hope to feel better soon, right now my stomach is still upset but doesn't hurt so that is a relief.
