So in March I posted about the fact that I would be graduating soon. Well, I did it! I graduated (with high honors even!), took my scary certification exam which I passed. I'm now licensed and have a (very) part time job! *phew!* That was a crazy 3 years of school!
And, I'm happy to report that I graduated debt-free.
I'm quite certain that to most of the world it will sound crazy when I say this. Now I have the unique "problem" of not really knowing what to do with the little bit of mone
It's been a LONG time since I last posted, but for some reason I was feeling the urge to post tonight.
If you recall I was really questioning my schooling decision. But since I'll be done in 4 weeks I suppose it looks like I will really graduate!
I'm really excited about the prospect of actually having a college degree, and at finally finishing this program! But I don't really let myself think about being finished very much yet because I'm not done yet. BUT, as of 3:15 pm on April 22nd I will
*Sigh* Remember last summer when I found out I got into the program I had applied to and I was SO excited? Well, I'm just about to finish up my first year and I'm honestly not sure it's worth it to finish. The program is driving me crazy due to the teachers not knowing what they're doing (2 of them are VERY new, not very good teachers, who change the syllabus several times in a semester, and don't know when things are due when you ask them. 1 of them even acts annoyed when you ask her a question
So... I have been MIA for quite some time. Just wanted to drop in and say hi. I'm still alive and kickin' and I think I mentioned in my last post that I got accepted into the OTA program at my local community college. So the school now owns my soul Seriously, I hate it. I spend SO much time at school and doing homework. I "only" have 3 semesters left... unless I change my major. I don't really want to quit this program, but it's driving me insane. But on the plus side this is the last week of c
Hehe, I kinda forgot about my blog for a while. I've been SO busy with school! But since I've got a little time right now I thought I'd post an update.
School: So far I'm getting As in all of my classes, but I still have 1 mid-term and a final for Biology, a project and a final for Communications, a paper, 2 mid-terms and 2 quizes for Psychology, a job-shadow, 3 quizes and a couple assignments for intro to OTA, and 2 quizes for my Bio lab. It sounds like a lot still, but compared to what I'v
14 to go! Yep, I've officially survived the 1st week of class. I have 4 classes (ended up dropping a 5th that I don't actually NEED to have in favor of more time to study for the classes that I DO need), and I like 3 of them. I don't really love my biology class. I like the teacher, and enjoy the lectures, but there's SO much information in the book I'm just not sure I'm retaining enough of it, and there is some that I don't even understand. So, that one class is stressful, and the others I enjo
EEK!! So I guess it's official. I ended up getting into the other class I was on the waitlist for, and now have 4 classes. I ordered my books, and today I got my parking permit and bus pass (long story, but I'm attending at 2 campuses so it's cheaper to ride the bus when I can, but sometimes I'll need to drive), and I took the accuplacer (college placement test) for math (don't need English, I have an English class I took previously that counts for freshman English). I honestly took a whole seme
So, the one thing I can work on for our 3 goals (pay off the house, get my degree, finish the basement) is getting my degree. I registered at the end of July, but since registration started in April there weren't a lot of classes that I need that still have space in them, so I registered for the 2 I could get, and got on the waiting list for 2. This morning I got an email saying I could add one of my waitlisted classes (so I now officially have 3)! This is really good because it's a prerequisit
Looky, I finally figured out the blog feature on this site! LOL! I'd never looked into it before, but once I discovered it I thought it'd be a good idea to start one.
Isn't it funny how it's easier to talk $ with people you only know online? Oh and it helps that everyone here is trying to look at money the way Dave teaches. My friends/family/neighbors don't particularly do things the way Dave would.
Thanks to Dave, we were able to finish our basement in cash, save up a downpayment, move
