Not too shabby, although I have nothing to compare it to. How has everyone else's classes done.......if you recently finished a class. Just curious.......

We still have our kit, can we take this class for free? That was my understanding when we bought the kit last year but wanted to be sure before I call the coordinator of this class. Thanks for your help!

There is a relatively new site on the internet. ITs called www.Quibids.com

Here is how it works. Its an auction site, no not another eBay type site.
The bidders pay 60¢ per bid on name brand items. And if you happen to get the item it cost you the winning bid price, plus the number of bids you made plus shipping.

I am watching a bid for a new 16GB iPad. Current price for that bid (price at the moment is changing fast) $42.45. The bids for this item are in 1¢ increments. So basically there have been, 4,245 bids at 60¢ each (that's $2,547 that they made off this iPad that retails for $699!!! And that's not even considering the selling winning bid price for the item)

I could see where someone could get a great deal on a item.....but I could also see where this is a lot like gambling. You purchase 100 bids at 60¢ each ($60) and you use them ALL trying to get one product......and you don't win.....well. Not much bargain there.

But I do find it intriguing and you have to give these guys a A++++ for a brilliant way to market their items and get way over retail for it.

EDITED to add: Quibids recently sold an iPad for $256.14 in the auction environment. That's 25,614 bids at 60¢ a bid = $15,368.40 + $256.14 (purchase price) + 15.99 for shipping = Total income of $15,640.53 for an item even if they had to purchase at full retail, is just stunning.

to celebrate the few graduates from the FPU class we coordinated next week.

I am planning on getting a cake for graduation but wanted something fun also. So I am planning on asking a friend to come and take some pictures. I was thinking about making a sign that says something like We will soon be DEBT-FREE!!!! and have the debt free part be made from the cut up credit cards we had from class.

Also I am going to give a gift to the person(s) who have paid off the most debt. I have a mug that says "for the graduate". I am going to put some candy bars and stuff in it. 100 Grand bars and stuff........

What does everyone think?
