Doing FPU in a group is definitely an advantage, in my opinion. The excitement and encouragement of others going in the same direction helps a lot!
Are you doing it with your spouse? You have a group!
I know you just signed on...but have you considered coordinating a class, yourself, at your church? You can be a coordinator without having gone through it first, if you are inclined. Coordinators merely do the organizing and set up, etc., and lead discussions (by not talking much, lol.) If you want to do this, just contact FPU and speak with a church advisor - they will talk you through the steps - others will buy their own kits, but it shouldn't cost you a penny more.
Also, I encourage you to bring your questions and comments here and chat here about them. The main thing is to absorb the material each week, discuss it, then plan how to implement it (write it out) and then DO it. Keep walking through each week's material. By the end, you'll be living the lifestyle of the weird. :gwave:
