I see you had your first class as a leader a couple of nights ago -- how did it go?

Thanks for asking!
I'm not the actual class coordinator, one of the ministers from my church is. Another lady (his admin asst.) and I are small group leaders. We had the first lesson on Tues., but didn't break into small groups. We won't do that until lesson 3 because the minister won't be there next week.
My biggest problem with the small groups is learning/remembering everyone's names! It's so embarassing!

Definately have people wear name tags! If you can't remember the names, chances are nobody else is remembering either...

I'm not trying to be difficult, but...
even if they make name tags I can rarely read them! I don't have the best eyesight, so if they don't use a marker (not a pen) and write legibly I still won't get their name! LOL!
Last session I just told them that I'm really bad at names and I hoped they would forgive me!

:) Pam I've also have poor eyesight. Ask ppl to use markers. right clearly and large. I still have to get close to read ppl's nametags to read them even when done that way.. but it helps a wee bit until I know thier hairstyles and what they are wearing for the day. :) That's how I remember alot of stuff by what ppl are wearing :)

The real problem is with my memory. It's gotten terrible as I've gotten older, especially the short term.

If this is an ongoing thing, you may want to think about lanyard with a name tag (printed, large enough letters to read)
Glad the class is going well.
