Can you tell me how to stay logged in?

Check the small box next your name when you log-in

I do that, and I don't log out. When I leave and come back, I need to log in every time. I'll try it again.

Leave as in shut down the browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.)?

I know there are settings (remember password, remember cookies, etc.) in those, but I can't recall 100% where they are located.
