We were expecting maybe 8-10 based on sign ups. A couple of people had said they might be interested, but our church won't order kits until they're paid for and those people hadn't paid so we figured they weren't coming.

DH got there before me and went in to get set up. There was 2 people in there - one we knew was coming and one we hadn't even talked to. He met me under the overhang as it was pouring. By the time he parked, met me in the hallway and took 3 DDs to their rooms and came back, there was over 20 people in there!! I think it was closer to 30 but I didn't get a good count! Two couples have been there before that we weren't expecting. One couple did go through last year with us and are back with his parents - we were expecting the couple and hoping for the parents, but hadn't heard for sure. Another couple or two are planning on returning but had other obligations today and another guy called me today and wasn't sure he'd make it tonight but is planning on next week for sure!!

It also means we get the big classroom back!!! They moved us b/c they use the big classroom for small group leadership meetings the first Wed of the month but the classroom we were in tonight worked tonight but if everyone we're expecting shows up, we'll be overflowing! The big classroom is, well, big, but it also has the projector in it - much nicer than a medium sized tv on a [short] stand with a lot of glare on it. And we didn't have to ask. Apparently, a bunch of the people who didn't know where we were meeting this go round [all the people who had come previously came when we were in the big room] kept asking the small groups pastor where we were so he knew that there were lots of people coming and he told us they would move us next week!! It's just such a better set up all around in there. We may end up in the small room once a month, but that's better than all the time - or they may move the small group leadership meeting.

Okay - got work to do but am very excited! :)

That sounds great! A big group is helpful in some segments, with multiple, small accountability groups mixed in!
