Customizing FPU

I have seen mentions in a few threads from some of you who have customized some aspects of FPU.

Are there areas that you have added?

What kind of supplemental items?

Exactly what are you meaning customize FPU? Or what do you think you mean?

Well, I saw comments about SharkUSMC creating his own, and other fleeting comments in various threads. It was interesting that people have built upon FPU, and I was curious what was added.

(1) they might have added items that relate to the psychological aspects with changing friends (I don't see this in FPU, but was a learning lesson for our family)
(2) added to what they perceived as areas that needed more guidance - perhaps investment selection?
(3) Various alternatives to education expenses - (for example: tax & financial aid considerations of a specific 529 plan versus other methods of saving for college)

These are my thoughts, but those who have customized it (added, etc) have spent time & effort and might have specific points, lessons on top of FPU that would be interesting for all.....
